Community production

Cusp inc unleashes new ways of thinking and doing

Cusp inc is behind some of the most eye catching community projects and productions leading up to 2012. Our work has been described as groundbreaking because

  • it builds ownership, confidence and cohesion in a wholly original way by engaging with the reality of people's lives

  • we are specialists in a diversity of communication methodologies: sign language, easy read and pictures as well as live scribe

Blue Touch Paper is a carnival project designed by Cusp Inc in partnership with West Sussex and the Isle of Wight's Carnival Learning Centre.

It's just one example of how we are building new layers of accessibility, inclusion and ownership throughout our community projects and productions.

Creativity and Access

We use creativity to make people feel they have a genuine place and purpose in your community projects and productions

The Pantry is a new project designed by Cusp Inc in partnership with NHS Surrey PCT, funded by Arts Council England and Chances for Change working with young people at risk of eating disorder, driven by their creativity when they talk about eating with artists and makers.

Sarah has worked with Wiltshire Music Centre over a number of years and her outstanding innovation and community connection has made our mass participatory project work a force to be reckoned with.

Keith Nimmo, Director, Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford on Avon

Sarah has worked with us to develop an outstanding community project that is admired right across the south east region

Lorna Brown, Head of Arts and Culture, West Sussex County Council

The work of the Cusp inc and The Pantry is unique and I hope that many more young people will utilise the support and resources and more commissioners will work with this outstanding project to help young people from developing eating disorders.
